PRP Treatment – Cellular Martix for Osteoarthritis
Premier Clinic is proud to bring to its customers the latest PRP treatment (platelet rich plasma), known as Cellular Matrix PRP which is often used as an osteoarthritis treatment. This is also known as degenerative joint disease, which is a chronic condition that occurs when the cartilage holding joints together break down, resulting in stiffness, pain, and even swelling.
Studies have shown that Cellular Matrix PRP can help to relieve pain and improve the function of joints in nearly 90% of all patients, which greatly improves the quality of their day-to-day life. In addition, this PRP treatment is an alternative to knee surgery for individuals that are not keen to go under the knife.
How it works
Blood will be drawn from the patient, with the procedure similar to a blood test. This is then put into a specialised machine which will help to isolate the platelets, plasma and blood cells, which are key for the treatment. Hyaluronic acid, a substance that helps to keep the skin moist is mixed in together with the isolated substance in order to create the Cellular Matrix solution. This is then injected into the patient’s body and allowed to take effect.
The hyaluronic acid will hold water together, creating volume as a result and will also help to boost the migration and regrowth of dermal cells. This will lead to the creation of a network of hyaluronic acid chains which hold all the cells together, making it stronger and help to relieve the pain caused by the broken down cartilage. As for the PRP solution, it helps to boost the production of collagen and creates an effect that can be described as volumising, which replaces the damaged cartilage.
The main difference between regular PRP treatment and Cellular Matrix PRP for arthritis is that the latter is an improvement to the former, with the addition of hyaluronic acid to the regular PRP solution that is derived from the blood. In addition, Celluar Matrix for osteoarthritis treatment has been shown to be much more effective than just treatment via regular PRP or hyaluronic acid injection.
Cellular Matrix for osteoarthritis treatment brings together the best of PRP treatment and hyaluronic acid. The platelets from the PRP side helps to repair the hard and soft tissue that has broken down as it contains growth factors that can boost the procedure. As for the plasma, it contains plenty of nutrients, vitamins, and hormones that help with tissue regeneration.
There are no known adverse side effects as a result of Cellular Matrix PRP for arthritis and is recognised as a safe alternative to surgery as outlined earlier.
